Wold Outdoor Sell Iconic Media Tower To Connexin

Wold Outdoor has sold The Phoenix sculptural media tower to Connexin. In a bittersweet deal that saw the first large-format digital signage in Hull change hands, Wold Outdoor has divested of the asset and changed course to become solely a property business. The Phoenix was first conceived in 2017 and came into use in 2018 with advertisers like JD Sports, MKM Building Supplies displaying their ads on both the inbound and outbound A63 trunk road. With 500,000 impacts/views per week, the Phoenix quickly gained a reputation as the place to be seen in the region.

It is a deal with mixed emotions for Director Andrew Johnson, who was instrumental in the design, planning and execution of the sculptural tower. It is the right move for Wold Outdoor though in order to focus solely on other assets and projects and to drive the company forward in one direction.
